Deer Run Cottage is nestled in the woods under a large oak tree. Large windows in the bedroom and living room give you a wonderful view of the country and the wildlife found on the ranch.

From your front porch, enjoy watching the deer come to the feeders every morning and evening as you enjoy your coffee or complimentary wine in one of our front-porch rocking chairs.

The cottage was built in 2016, but you’d never know it because of the architectural elements and antique furnishings we used to give the house a vintage feel. We’ve paid attention to every detail so you’ll have a modern kitchen, jacuzzi tub, ROKU TV, and 2-ton Lennox Air Conditioner in a quaint farmhouse that could have been decorated by Joanna Gaines.

Your king-size bed is fitted with luxurious cotton sheets and down comforters and pillows. The open floor plan in the living area features divided light windows, antique shiplap walls, hardwood flooring and a large rock fireplace. Relax on the charming and comfortable sofa in front of the wood-burning fireplace.

The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, cooking utensils and pots and pans. We leave coffee, filters, tea, sugar, salt, and pepper. Gather fresh eggs for your breakfast from our chicken coop.

There’s plenty of fun in the Texas Hill Country – no matter what season you arrive. Visit our wineries, breweries, great restaurants, shopping, and quaint Hill Country towns – all within minutes away.

The Cottages At Canyon Peaks are located on the Eastern Edge of The Texas Hill Country, 50 miles southwest of downtown Austin and 52 miles northwest of downtown San Antonio.

We are within a few minutes drive in all directions to some of Texas’ most popular destinations — Wimberley, Canyon Lake, Gruene, New Braunfels, Blanco, and San Marcos.

Many of our guests choose to explore a different town each day of their trip. With our central location, you can drive 10 to 30 minutes in all directions and find something to see and do.

Enjoy shopping in one of the quaint little towns nearby during the day — Wimberley square and Gruene are both adorable towns full of shops and restaurants overlooking the river and creeks we are so blessed to have in the hill country. They both have Flea Market Weekends at least once a month.

There are also several wineries, breweries, great restaurants, art galleries, music venues (Gruene Hall, Devil’s Backbone Tavern), and more — all within a short, scenic drive away.

During warmer weather, you’ll enjoy the many local swimming holes and parks for swimming, fishing, tubing, kayaking, and boating. The Canyon Lake Marina is 10 minutes from our gate and Blue Hole in Wimberley is only 15 minutes away.
