2. Whitewater Amphitheater

Texas’ Oldest dance hall with live music every day. Free music during the day, paid shows at night featuring an assortment of artists —The Marshall Tucker Band, Wade Bowen, Kody West, Casey Donahew, Shinyribs, Stoney LaRue, and more. A person watching a show never knows if the artist they see at the Hall today will be a star tomorrow, but they can know that the music they hear will always be top-notch.
Free shows most Saturday and Sunday afternoons. They will have bands Saturday and Sunday nights, and tickets are between $12-$15. CASH ONLY.

4. Devil’s Backbone Tavern

Bar, live music, shuffleboard, pool, and all the local flavor just 5 min from Canyon Peaks! Best to eat before the show, there is a popcorn machine inside. Live bands, we’ve recently seen Max and Heather Stalling, Blue Water Highway, Thomas Michael Riley, Two Tons of Steel, Tish Hinojosa, Toni Price, Said Cleaves, Monte Good, Dale Watson, and more.

5. Hays City Store & Ice House

Some of the best homestyle cooking in the area, plenty of outdoor seating, and usually a good band! What more could you ask for?
Hay’s City Store has it all — great food reasonably priced, thank you, beer wine, mixed drinks, and local live bands provide music almost every day. Very popular, so very busy, but a lovely place to sit outside listening to music while you wait for your table.

6. Luckenbach, Texas

The old Texas town in so many country songs is worth a visit, especially on weekends when a band is playing most of the time. Multiple stages, music is free during the day, paid admission at night depending on who is playing. All outdoors except for the general store and hat shop and the Dancehall featuring weekend concerts.
