Once an old gas station, this hotspot has been converted into one of the best places to eat and listen to live music in the Texas Hill Country. Hays City feature s Down-home Southern comfort food, reasonably priced. Indoor and outdoor seating with bandstand under the oak trees on the patio. McAdoo’s is our favorite place to eat seafood in the Hill Country. The menu is filled with Texas Creole favorites and fresh seafood. We especially enjoy the fried shrimp platter. Reservations highly recommended! Seating is indoor, outdoor and at the bar, but the place is always packed. It’s also a great place for private events — there are several seating areas that accommodate parties of 15 or more. The restaurant is actually the historic New Braunfels Post Office, which sound horrible, but is actually one of the most beautiful pieces of architecture in New Braunfels.
